"The Sims 4 is the next greatly awaited instalment from Maxis." The fact that they not only spelled installment wrong, but said MAXIS makes me to believe this article is very inaccurate.

It's not spelt wrong, it's a regional spelling like favorite and favourite. In the UK we spell it instalment As for the game I want them to go back to the drawing board and lose some of the TS3 stuff and add in a lot of TS2 stuff and then move on to new features :]

Hmm... I wonder what they mean by "similar to The Sims 3 with a lot of upgrades." All I know is a wider selection of careers isn't going to cut it.
Idk they could come out with a sims 100 and I would still probably be playing TS2.

I'm fine if they upgrade sims2 but keep the general gameplay the same....it would be nice to roam freely in the neighborhood even if the graphics weren't as splendid as sims3; just add more exp. packs and still be able to save each lot as you like. They did a good job on sims2 as far as I'm concerned; and I'll still be playing it like LadyofShalott said even if they have a sims 100--if the gameplay lots can't be saved, etc.

Honestly, the only thing that I don't like about the Sims 2 is that I can just walk to other lots like I can in TS3. The graphics in TS3 aren't pretty to me tbh. I like the graphics in TS2 better.
Hopefully they'll fix the genetics because that's the main reason why I play Sims in the first place - I like to see long, realistic family trees. Not Sims being born with Green hair cause their mom decided to dye hers.
Anyway, it's pretty much true, even if EA hasn't said anything about it, I mean, honestly. Money hungry people. Look at NASCAR and all their other lines. xD Not surprised at all. Although, I heard from someone that they knew someone who works for EA, and he said they were for sure making a Sims 4.

They need to fix what was wrong with the other games before they move on. It's like watching a toddler hopped up on candy canes they way they are bouncing game to game. CHEAP candy canes! Try a quality product for a change, then see how the money rolls in.

Try a quality product for a change, then see how the money rolls in. Exactly! The Sims 2 had five longs years in the spotlight before The Sims 3 came along in 2009. Now, only two years later, there are already rumors for The Sims 4? I mean, I don't know how long after The Sims 2 was out that rumors for The Sims 3 began to float about, but I don't think it was two years. I find it kind of funny, actually. Also, does anyone else find that "The Sims 4" just sounds...wrong somehow? That name and that number just doesn't click for me or something.

Yea Samantha, it doesn't sound right.
Needs a rhyme or reason.

Yeah, '4' does make you think 'Oh no, another one? Really EA?' but at the same time the name 'Sims' sells things. It didn't do that well when it was called Dollhouse back in the day
