{name:Brian Woods#|#picture:9}Brian took Joelle's hand and walked into the fanciest restaurant in town. She was wearing a teal cocktail dress that laid on her body perfectly and Brian was just wearing khaki's and a shirt and teal tie to match. Their host took them to their candlelit table. To their surprise, no children in sight to bother their dinner. He took Joelle's hand. "I was going to propose here but it would have been to public, formal, and the same. That's just not me."

{name:Joelle#|#picture:2}Joelle gave a warm smile. She rested her hand over his. "I think the secret spot was they perfect place to propose," she said. Joelle didn't like the thought of a bunch of strangers applauding her and Brian's engagement. It was their business, and those who they chose to tell. "There's a lot of couples here tonight," Joelle said. "Must be everyone's date night!"

{name:Brian Woods#|#picture:9}"Must be." He said winking. "Well Briar already knows and she doesn't have many people to tell besides you. Do you know anybody around here?" Brian looked down at his menu and placed the silky white napkin on his lap. "Get whatever you like. I think I'm getting a steak. I've been eating spaghetti too often." He said making a sick face.

{name:Joelle#|#picture:2}"I'll definately tell Janelle." Joelle said. "Maybe a few people at work." Scanning the menu for something that looked yummy, she spotted a pasta section. "I think I'll have ravioli," she concluded, happily. She placed her menu on the table. "Brian, seeing as we're going to be married, we have some things we need to decide on." Joelle dove straight to the important topics, deciding small chit chat would not get answers. "For starts, when are we getting married?"

{name:Brian Woods#|#picture:9}"I guess I really didn't think that through." Brian actually didn't think a lot of this through. He just knew he wanted to be married to Joelle. Their waiter took their order and quickly left. "Whenever you want to." He could see this wasn't an answer Joelle was looking for.

{name:Joelle#|#picture:2}"We'll have to decide that one later," Joelle said, not completely happy with that answer, but not wanting to push. They had a lot to discuss. What's going to happen when you go back to college Brian?" Joele sighed, the topic that she fear most, was they one she most wanted an answer for. She withdrew her hand, instead placing them on her lap. Waiting for an answer from Brian, she breathed deep trying to remain calm and rational. There would be no running off into the sunset for them. They couldn't shirk their responsiblities. Joelle look up at Brian through her eyelashes.

{name:Brian Woods#|#picture:9}"Well," Brian said counting the options on his fingertips. "We could wait until I finish and see each other every chance we get, move over to be near my college, or I could go to college here." Brian didn't mind that last idea, it would save plenty of money and he could still be a teacher. He drummed his fingers on the table. "We can live in your house. It is pretty big, even for the two of us."

{name:Joelle#|#picture:2}"It's your desicion Brian. Your education means your choice." Joelle said. She didn't want to force a decision this big on him. He had to make the choice or he could end up hating her. "What do you want do?" she asked him. Joelle fidgeted with the hem of her dress. She had one more question she wanted to ask him, but she wasn't sure how to word it. And she was afriad he might say no.

{name:Brian Woods#|#picture:9}"I'll think about that one. It is pretty serious, but I don't want to leave you." Brian noticed she was messing with her dress. "Are you okay? You seem a bit stressed." Brian wasn't sure if she was trying to tell him something, and if she was he wasn't getting it. When the dinner came Joelle didn't eat right away like Brian. Something was bugging her. Like something Brian had asked her to marry him. He saw the ring on her left ring finger.

{name:Joelle#|#picture:2}Joelle pushed her food around on her plate. She should just ask him; Brian wouldn't judge her. "Brian?" she began, looking up and seeing him giving her an open look, telling her to tell him. "Do you ever...possible could we...well.." Joelle stuttered. "Do you think that would could ever... Are we going to have kids?" she finally just spit out. Joelle loved children. Always had. One of her lifetime goals was to have a child. Joelle didn't know why she loved children so much. Maybe it was the chubby cheeks, cute smiles, or they way they always loved even the simple things you did for them. She bit her lip and waited for Brian's response.

{name:Brian Woods#|#picture:9}Brian smiled. "I thought you'd never ask." Brian knew she loved children and so did he. "Why else would I want to be a teacher." Brian cut his steak into small bites before putting it in his mouth. He saw Joelle pop a ravioli in her mouth. "And if your referring to..." He said pointing with his fork and trailed off. He looked around and there were a lot more people here now. The volume was still quiet and some classic music played in the background.

{name:Joelle#|#picture:2}Joelle was confused. What was she refering to? "So is that a yes?" She asked. She hoped it was. Joelle wanted to have Brian's children, have someone to call her mom! She looked over the other diners. Some were old, with graying hair and wrinkly faces. Did they have grandchildren? Little faces, that always loved them? What about the younger couples? Did they have a new babe at home and where neverous about leaving the baby with a babysitter for the first time? Giving her head a little shake, she turned back to Brian who was looking over the other diners just as she just was. "Brian?" Joelle said, trying to get his attention.

{name:Brian Woods#|#picture:9}"Oh yes, definately yes." Brian picked up his napkin and wiped his mouth clean. He wasn't sure how many kids she wanted or how much money it would cost. He never really had a kid before or even tried to. If it's what she wanted it's what she gets. Brian really was convinced on staying here even though he should stay at his old college. There was so many things needed to be said and needed to be done, his head was spinning. Maybe even more or so then before. At this point something flashed through his mind was his mothers kind voice. "If you truly love a person, time can wait. After a few short years those will turn into longs months you know. Forever is a long time and nobody lives forever. Do what is right" He never understood what his mother meant until now.

{name:Joelle#|#picture:2}Joelle smiled. One day she would have a child! But not one day soon. She was smarter than that. Children were expensive, and her salary would not be able to cover the costs, exspecially if she wasn't getting paid while she was on maternity leave. "We would obviously wait until you were out of college." She said to Brian. "Maybe even a few years after that. There's no way I could afford all the baby stuff on my income." Joelle felt as though she was ready for a child now, but was glad she was smart enough to see common sense. Knowing she would one day get one was good enough.
