What did you like better in the exchange?

After seeing how many of you guys missed the exchange in this poll, we are considering changing the downloads section a bit. So...

• What did you like better in the exchange than our downloads section?
  
• What was your favorite part?
  
• Is there anything you would change in our downloads section?
  

Any other suggestions for the downloads sections would also be appreciated. Thanks!

One thing I would change is have a preview picture of the uploaded item. It's hard to tell what the item is until you go into it and sometimes can be a hassle. Especially here is a hassle while at GOS it's much easier to peek at what you want.

I also liked they had a download count and ratings, it may sucked for some people but it showed me what people liked and what I needed to improve on.

What do you know, that is exactly what I'm currently working on! What would you think of a thread in the sims section that looked something like this with small pictures of each sim:

In the actual thing, the pictures would be a better quality and clicking on them would link to their respective thread in the downloads section.

Hmm, well, I'm not entirely sure if that's possible here, but it's certainly a good idea. If you want to see how many downloads you got for your own item, most file-hosting websites (like Mediafire) have a way you can see it .

I never used the Exchange much on the Sims website, but I agree with the whole thumbnail idea like on MTS and GOS . If its not to much of a hassle, of course!

I agree with the thumnails idea. It would save clicking in and out of threads looking for something that catches your eye. Other than that, I'm used to downloading off blogs and forums rather than off the Exchange. In some ways I prefer the way the downloads are organised here to the way it's done over on the main site.
