What do you guys think of having an official Tumblr for this place? I was thinking about how we tried advertising via our own individual Tumblrs a couple of weeks (months?) back, and of the rather low levels of success that we saw out of it, and thus this idea was created. (I know that not everybody has a Sims-Tumblr, or even a regular Tumblr, but I definitely think it's becoming more and more popular in the Sims community.)
Obviously we could use legrande's ad, and I have one that I made too, but it could also be used for promoting contests (like Caitlin's) and downloads and stories that are hosted here (and hopefully roleplay/the store, if we can ever get that stuff back up and running again).

There's a chance it might be much more sucessful than my ad idea, which I'll admit was pretty poor executed in the end. XL

I thought your idea was a good one myself. I don't think there was much you could do to make it any more successful.  Anyway, here's what I have so far. There's no posts yet, but once there are some, the white at the top will extend all the way down the page, and it won't look so hideous. Essentially it will look like this. What do you guys think? Is the description okay? (Does anybody want to write a better one?) (Actually, it needs a better userpic/avatar, too, if anybody wants to try their hand at that. Right now it's a screenshot of the "The Unofficial BSS" script that is seen at the top of the forum here.) I need to post something! |

I like that the theme is the same idea as the forum, definitely. I like the description, too, I think it's fine. (It would be nice if we had a few new members and could get the RP board back up and running so it's probably a good feature to advertise. ) I'd be happy to attempt making a userpic? I'd like to be useful! EDIT:  I'm not sure if this would be okay or not. |

I've been having computer issues for the past couple of days, and I just got it back from IT and I'm still checking it out, so I'll probably do it later today. Also, I like the userpic. Better than the one I made, haha. It looks a little off-centered (like the words need to be moved up), so I may do that, but otherwise, I'll most likely end up using it. Thank you so much! |
