I wanted to make a duplicate of Pleasantview, so I can redo the Maxis Made Sims, without deleting the original Pleasantview to keep my Custom Sims in the neighborhood? Or Will that botch my game up? -thanks

I'm not sure, since I've never tried, but I think as long as you rename the neighborhood folder to something that hasn't already been taken (e.g. N054) it shouldn't effect your game. EDIT: But I'm not sure about the neighborhood files and the suburb and downtown files and everything. Someone with more experience might be able to help further. I was under the impression that the household and lot folders would just stay the same and it wouldn't do anything, but I'm totally not sure. There's also the possibility of problems due to both of the neighborhood's "ID" sort of numbers being the same. EDIT2: AHAH! Okay, there's a tutorial on how to make a duplicate Pleasantview here.

^ Oh yeah, that one's a lot simpler than the one I linked to. Disregard my link, haha.

Thanks, and if I removed the original files out (on to my desktop per-say) and replaced them for a while, would it work the same way?
Like taking out one file and replacing it with another, but just keeping the old one to the side?
