I made this community lot a couple months ago and I really liked it. It has this sort of pool/beach/tiki theme, so I thought it would be perfect for this contest. Some of the pictures may be a little large. I think I resized most of them, but I might have missed a few. Also, some of the photos have some really poor quality. Sorry about that.
So here it is: The Oasis.
The Oasis features many things for your whole sim family to do. The center arch of it all is the large pool that has two diving boards, two ladders, and a slide. Kids and adults alike have a fun time splashing about.
Of course, a public swimming pool wouldn't be complete without a lifeguard to watch out.
Meet Jace, my lifeguard on duty.
I built this odd lifeguard tower from columns, random decorations, and lots of cheats along with Marvine's ladder found here and Rebecah's lifeguard chair found here.
There's many places to relax by the pool too.
This is the main building
Bathrooms are on the first floor.
There is a dining area on the right side of the deck. Your sims can get a sandwhich and watch their kids swim at the same time.
On the left side of the deck is a bar for all the tired parents.
If you ever want to get out of the pool, or it's too cold to swim, there are many more activities to do.
There are swings, a basketball court, a soccer goal, a game/party room, and a chess area (not shown) that will keep your sims busy.
Have a long day? Need a stress reliever? Or just want to end those summer days perfectly? Soak in one of the hot tubs with that special someone and get a good view at the same time!
I will end this little tour with a birds-eye view of the entire lot.
So that's The Oasis. Credits go to Raonjena, MTS, and Garden of Shadows for the model hairs. Also to Liana Sims for the outfit the mom was wearing in the dining area and AnnaMaria Sims for the swimsuit the teenager was relaxing in. Also, Pooklet for the skins and of course to Marvine and Rebecah of MTS for my lifeguard tower stuff.
Currently, The Oasis is not up for download, because someone owns it on my game, and I'm not sure how to get around that. If people are interested, I might try to work something out.
