get rid of the first born glitch?
Or do I have to roll the dice each time my sim gets pregnant with their 2nd child? Sometimes I forget to do it and my sims ends up having their first 2 babies looking alike! and I don't notice it until the child becomes a toddler or child, and then I hate that they have the same faces!

It seems like you have to roll the dice a double-digit number of times during the same gameplay session as the Sim is going to give birth (presumably 10-20 times). You don't have to do it right before or anything, but yeah, I think that's the only way to fix it. I've never had the problem before, and I haven't looked too far into it, but that's the only way I've seen around that fixes it.

There is no permanent way that I know of. In a single game play, if you are going to have more than one child, you do not need to roll the CAS dice in between each child's birth. Parents have a sequence of genetic combinations that their offspring can receive, and in a single game play, the children will just get subsequent sets of genetics. However, if you turn off the game and then try to have more children the next time that you play, the sequence will start over from the beginning, and that's where you get your duplicates. I roll the dice when I plan on playing a couple that already has children and whom I want to have more children. (Hopefully this makes sense; it's hard to explain.) I don't know how many genetic combinations there are, but I usually roll the dice as many times as my couple has children. For example, if my couple already has two children, I'll roll the dice twice (I don't actually know if this is valid, though). Pescado has a lot debugger in which one of the features allows you to randomize your spot in the genetic sequence. I've never used it myself (I personally prefer rolling the dice, as my game loads pretty quickly and it's no hassle), but it's here, if you're interested. It's not a permanent fix, though.
