Us users? Like when you come to chat, do you think of something specific of a person or you ignore the fact they are a real person and they are just your 'online buddy'. What I mean is (for example) I think of Amy as our group leader and sometimes as our 'forum mother'. I know it sounds stupid but I do think of us members other then just a simmer. Lemme know if you feel the same way and about whom. Also let me know what you think about me. If you want me to know what I think about you just ask!

This is such an interesting topic for a post. It's not really something I'd have really thought extensively about. I guess on some level I get an impression of what the people that post here are like in real life. We do convey our personality when we're chatting away online and if we were all to be introduced in real life, I'd have a vague idea of what to expect of everyone. I suppose I do see you guys as people as opposed to just faceless usernames but I don't have like an imagined appearance for any of you - you know, like the way your mind creates a visual image of a character in a play. Basically, what I'm saying is, I have impressions of your personality (and to an extent, I do see everyone as having a particular role in the forum) and I see you as people, but nothing really beyond that. It'll be cool to see other people's take on this. I do wonder now how I'm perceived by everyone else on the forum, given that I've thought about how I perceive you lot! Not going to talk about anyone in particular, because I know some people might not be comfortable with it, but that's my take on things.

Agreed. I definitely get a sense of other user's personalities (or what I perceive them to be), and you're all human to me. I differentiate between people here in a way that I would in real life.
