House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer. I'm reading it for English. It's pretty interesting, but I'm not too thrilled to write an essay about it.

A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. My friend got me obsessed with the series. I've also been watching the TV series, but I only watch it when I think I'm far enough in the book.
I have so many books on the go right now. I also still need to finish the Hobbit, and this other book I was reading. I also have a series I need to read and.. GAH. So many books, so little time.

I'm still reading Peter and the Starcatchers. I just don't have time like I used to, I tell ya.
I'm also reading several different books on Wattpad. Among all those cliche, teeny bopper whiny novels about how your best friend's an extremely hot werewolf alpha who wants to claim you but oh his arch vampire enemy who's also super hot hates you but secretly wants to suck your blood, there are a few hidden gems. Wattpad is an amazing invention, I tell you.
EDIT: Started and finished The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson. Great book. Loved it.

^ My best friend's favorite author is Maureen Johnson. I've never actually read anything by her myself, though, but I've heard good thing.
I'm about to start either The Handmaid's Tale or Tess of the D'urbervilles. Probably the former because I have an unreasonable fear of Tess. I really want to read The Historian again but I can't find a copy of it anywhere short of Amazon, which is currently having issues shipping to Boston anyway.

I still haven't finished The Night Circus or Dracula both of which were great where I just left off. I also have a couple of library books out, as well as Pride and Prejudice.
I am really not good at reading any more.

I haven't started on anything new, but next on my list is Beautiful Creatures. I want to read it before I see the movie. But then I heard the movie wasn't very good, so I don't know anymore.

I keep planning to finish All Quiet on the Western Front. My history teacher gave me a copy last year because of my marks and such, and I still haven't read it all. However, after my exams are done on the 29th of this month, I've a five day gap where I have nothing to do. So much time for activites!

I just started reading A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley, which I found in a pile of books that my grandmother was giving away. My grandmother grew up in Iowa, which is also where this author is from and where the book's set. It's literally perfect timing that I'm reading this because I wrote a piece for my fiction course that was based in Buffalo Center (the town in Iowa where my grandmother grew up), and I'd really like to turn it into something longer. I'm hoping this book will help me out with some of the research and all that.
I'm enjoying it so far. I'm only on chapter two (three?), and the plot hasn't really set in so far, but you know.

Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. It's the first of hers I've read and it's certainly weird but it's also wonderful. I've got to read at least one of her books for English but I'm thinking that I'm going to read more because I love her style.
I also went to a charity shop the other day and got eight 'new' books. The next thing on my "to-read" list is Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt, which I've been meaning to read for two years since we watched the film of it in History and I have only just got my hands on a copy of now.

Well, I just got finished with The Fault In Our Stars by John Green a couple of days ago, which pretty much tore my soul to pieces. I'm starting on The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith, which I hope will turn out to be one of those sappy, summer romances. I need a major happily ever after after TFIOS.

I have finally secured a copy of The Historian (from the library--who knew?) so I will be rereading that soon. I might first reread The Gathering before that, just because it's much shorter and I can probably do it in a day or two.

I'm working on It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. I saw a preview for the movie (which was made in 2010) and decided to buy it and see if it was any good.

I'm reading "Le rire du Cyclope" by Bernard Werber.
He's awesome, when I start one of his book, I can't stop until I finished it. It's a french writer but his work is translated in a lot of languages.
Maybe you've heard about "The Empire of the ants" whitch was his first trilogy.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I've successfully hit the end of my summer reading list (woo?) and now I have nothing new left to read. It's a good thing I'm starting my job next week so I can get more money to buy new books.
