Ever since Samantha hosted the June/July Sim Picture Contest I've been thinking about another contest, and was wondering if anybody would be interested/could make any improvements...
Here is the basic outline:
What the… What’s “A Very Pleasant Challenge”?
Well, it’s a challenge I’ve come up with (that has also probably been done before) to have creative simmers show their stuff. We’re all going to take a trip to Pleasantview, and basically take a bunch of hammers to it. You can give a Nina a new makeover (including plastic surgery), make a new suit for Mortimer, or simply go design crazy at the local community lot! As long as it has something to do with giving Pleasantview a new look, it counts.; so go crazy!
What are the Rules?
1. You may submit up to three entries in total. Pictures are required along with your entries, and give enough so that people get the idea of what your creation is (you can edit said pictures, but leave at least one clear photo of the object un-edited). Feel free to add a small description of what you’ve done if you like, though it’s not required. You are allowed to leave a download link to your entry.
2. Custom Content is allowed, though not required.
3. Do not claim someone else’s work as your own.
How do I Enter?
Post your entry directly in this thread. All entries will be linked from this main post.
How long do I have?
The challenge will start --- and end ---.
Winner and Prizes Information:
The winner will be decided by a poll. If there are not enough voters then I’ll ask someone who hasn’t participated to judge with me.
There will be a participation prize awarded to everybody who enters. The winner will also receive another prize in addition to the participation prize. I will be making the prizes, but if anyone would like to help out then feel free to PM me about this. If you have participated in the contest you can still contribute a prize. The prizes can be any type of Custom Content.
I used Samantha's contest as a guideline, so apologies if it looks a lot like your layout/words!
I wanted to do a Pleasantview-themed Contest because then it would appeal to both Maxis Match users and Custom Content users. It'd also give people the chance to show off their Pleasantview neighbourhood, or get people to open up that neighbourhood if they never have.
So, what do you guys think?
