My first Simming experience took place in maybe 2004 or so. I was in college and was coming home for the weekend to see my friends. My best friend mentioned that she purchased a game called, The Sims, Bustin' Out!' for the PS2, and was wondering if I would play it with her on the evening of my arrival.
Out characters were Lovely Angel--one of my numerous roleplaying characters; her's was an rp character known as Marakui. We spent nearly an hour getting them perfectly designed, and the rest of the evening moving them into a home that fit both our tastes. By the time we finished playing through it, it was about 6 in the morning. Tired as ever, we flipped off the game and got about seven hours of sleep... before doing it again.
After that, she bought the Sims 1 (I don't know which ones, though I'm certain one involved magic making, and another becoming a celebrity). I played through it a few times, but couldn't indulge like I wanted due to me being on campus some 130 miles away.
Some years passed and I got my very own full-fledged experience when I talked myself into buying a copy of The sims 2 Deluxe. Oh my gosh! My friends complained about me being missing for days and days on end. I was simply too involved with my sims self, her husband and their son Skyler (at that time) to hang out with friends or go to class (well, SOME classes XD). My CC obsession took off not even a week or two after getting the game and since hasn't ceased. 4 years have passed, the game is still there, and now I've got about 400+ sims scattered around the 'hoods. There are five generations for now. Tis a low number since I haven't gotten the chance to play like I wanted.
If something were to happen to them though, I'd be simply devastated.
