hey hey, So, I have been a simmer for a LOOOOOONG long time yet I have never even touched The sims 3 well... This weekend I am going away because my parents are going to a wedding and I have to go to babysit some family friends while they go to the wedding as well and I am taking my dad's laptop (which is a top of the range gaming laptop... which he uses for occasional web browsing and email checking )and I am considering borrowing my friends Sims 3, installing it and playing it to pre-occupy my time.... what do you think of this idea? Are there any hints or tips that I should be aware of before this? Is there anything in particular from Mod the Sims I should download before leaving? Heck, I dont knowthe slightest thing about Sims 3!! Except that it is 25 years before Sims 1 (... or did I make that up?) Regards, Coocoosim

Haha you're in the same boat as me. I recently installed TS3 on my own laptop (which doesn't run it amazingly... but runs it better than the desktop we have at home) and you know, it's actually not a bad game to play. It's different from TS2, yes, but EA did manage to get a few things right. I'll just say: give it a chance. You've probably heard all the mixed reviews about it, but just install it with an open mind. I haven't had the chance really to scope out any CC (though already there's a few mods I might get) but with all the customization options, at first you'll be far from short of stuff to play with it. Have fun!

I'm probably very late in responding, but I personally like the Sims 3. Since I can't play TS2 right now, I'm in the same place. The Sims 3 is actually pretty entertaining, you can only have one family though... The main cheat I guess is ' testingcheatsenabled true ' It doesn't have as many options as the Sims 2 though. The mailbox with cheats is usually the same. The ' maxmotives ' in TS2 is ' Make All Happy ' on the Mailbox. All the families you create are saved in a bin, but you can only play one at a time.
If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask! ;D
