Howdy!
So yesterday I decided to do something a bit different with my sims game.
I installed the AnyGameStarter by Numenor and I made a game file only with the base game. Then I went in to Strangetown and decided I wanted to do something I have never done before, so I moved Ajay Loner ( A sim I have never touched before) in to the vacant home with the basement. I decided then, not to use any cheats, which I can't ever remember doing and enjoying before. So he moved in and got a Job in the business career, he made friends and met his future wife, a townie sim named Margaret.
Now Ajay is CEO in the Business career track, He married Margaret, they had a son who is currently a toddler named Percy and they then adopted a Child named Jill, after this the house was too small, so they moved in to the 'Mansion' next door. That is as far as I have gotten.
I am quite liking this whole 'Vanilla' game. No CC, only the base game, No cheats.
I am just wondering what you think I should do now? I am open to all suggestions ;D

Woah, odd! I named a recent toddler Percy too. Hmm, I'm not sure what else you could do. Perhaps you could make a tragedy happen, like a fire killing a Sim or maybe get a Sim abducted or turned into a creature?

Ajay is now top of his career and Percy grew into a child.

Awesome! I certainly applaud your efforts, I could NEVAR manage such a feat. I couldn't be sure what to tell you, maybe find a girl for Percy then, ya'know, so they could be best friends before becoming lovers as teens or something?

This is usually when I start concentrating on the kiddies, as the more I do, the more I get attached to them & have a strong desire to play through their lives as well.

Ajay and Margaret are both Fortune Sims and Jill is a Romance sim, who currently has her first crush on the townie River Smith.

On another Note: getting a family to stand close together like this without cheats is SO HARD!!!

I'm sure you can allow yourself to use building cheats. Personally, I don't even call them cheats but each to their own.

Wow, I really wish I knew about that AnyGameStarter before, because I do things like this all the time! It's pretty fun I think. You know what you could do? Try and make it a legacy-type challenge where you install another EP/SP for every Generation. Also, cycle through the families, possibly only the Loner family since I'm guessing you're only playing that family. So that way the family tree isn't all out of wack. It's really nice if you stick to it because by the end you have a huge family tree and stuff to be proud of.

Yeah, I can see how everytime a new generation starts I add the next expansion pack, that would be pretty cool, an Idea for later on perhaps.
I like your Idea of Cycling through the Loner family, currently I am deciding to have Jill and wPercy live in the family home, with Ajay and Margaret living in a granny flat out the back, until they have their own famillies, I guess the first to marry will move out, and the second will stay in the family home, or perhaps Both children will move out and leave Ajay and Margaret to spend their retirement in peace.
I have never really cycled through famillies before, is there a certain way of doing it?

Great pic. I really liked being able to click and enlarge it too. I guess you are playing aging on and free will on? I have my families invite friends and have friend groups but if you don't have nightlife yet I guess that is out. I think you should try to make their lives as rich and fulfilled as you can now that they are at the top of their careers (or almost). You could make it like a legacy too I suppose. Anyway have fun with it.
