Hello Simmers, (before I start, Can I just mention how amazing and nice everyone on here is!) So, In case you didn't know the expansion packs/ Stuff packs I have are, in no particular order: Open For Business Pets Seasons Bon Voyage Freetime Apartment life Mansion & Garden stuff Well, when I went into my local GameTraders they had a sale on, Buy two get one free, I decided to look around and was pleasantly surprised by their stock of Sims titles, both Sims 1 and 2! Some where pre-played, others new I decided upon buying some Sims 2 games, as the Sims 1 games I already had. I bought "The Sims 2: University" (which for the record, was the first expansion pack I ever got- which was stolen by a so called 'friend' ) and the stuff pack "The Sims 2: Teen Style Stuff" I chose Teen style as it looks pretty cool, and lets me experiment with furniture (which could be used by all ages really) and clothes, The other game I got was for my Brother. I haven't installed them yet, but I will after easter, or this afternoon. They were $10 (Australian) which is pretty good. So, Have any of you Simmers ever been pleasantly surprised by unexpectedly seeing Sims titles? What is your favorite thing about either University or Teen Style Stuff? Whats the first thing you when buying a Sims game (Mine is normally read the manual on the car ride home, and get really excited finding out all the cool new things!) Regards, Coocoosim

Hi coocoosim! Not sure if this counts, but I was staying in France for a week last year and my host family had a collection of 'Les Sims 2' games. It sounds silly, but I wasn't expecting to see them so it was a pleasant surprise. I think you'll enjoy the games you bought, they're good fun. My favourite thing about Teen Style Stuff is probably the clothes. Oh, and I love the girlie furniture too. With Uni, it's probably the new careers. Haha, I always used to read the manual during the drive home too! Enjoy your new games! kmb

I was in my local Gamestation the back end of last year, and I was really really surprised by the amount of Sims 2 EPs they had! I think I ended up with Apartment Life and Teen Style Stuff and Celebration Stuff. I was well pleased! Sadly, I went back to look for another one the other day (I need 2 to complete my collection) and they had none. I was sad! But I keep going back because sometimes they have loads but sometimes they have none... It's just luck, I think!

Yeah, the luck of the draw I suppose. I think a few people resort to Amazon and Ebay for their games now-a-days. I just realised something! I have a family with a Mother, Father and their adopted child daughter- Well I can install Teen Style Stuff when she ages up into a teenager and give her a completely 'decked-out' styled room, aswell as updating her clothing, and then when she is near her birthday again I can install University so she can become a Young-Adult and experience Campus life! Woohoo!... wait... eww I love it when my Sims games work well together

I always have to look for Sims games, no matter where I am, HMV, Gamestation, Woolworths (R.I.P), Asda, Tesco (etc), Game and the rest I have no intention of buying them - unless I find Apartment Life - but I go all warm and fuzzy just seeing them there, alive, for the purchase and addiction of somebody else I've had no 'cheap' surprises, but what shocked me was the price of Apartment Life over here, while the rest are around £5 - £10 most places, Apartment Life has been advertised at £20 - £30 on the internet :/

When I go to Walmart or Shopko, which is usually where I shop, I look for sims 2 games and all they have anymore is sims3 . I have all of the sp's and ep's so I don't really need them, but I still look. I have been looking for the Holiday pack for that is the only one I don't have, and well ebay wants like $60 for it and I'm not going to pay that for it.

I saw the Life Stories game in Goodwill one time. That was kind of surprising. Walmart only carries a few of Sims 2 anymore. And most of the time those are the ones I already have. They have a whole section devoted to Sims 3 though..

I've got most of the expansions due to buying them while they're on offer. Managed to pick up my stuff packs BOGOF, and expansions were all half price ones

The other day I was in Harvey Norman and I saw The Sims 2 Nightlife for $7! No joke! I would of gotten it but I need my original one. See, I have a problem where I'm missing 75% of my Sims 2 games. The good expansion packs, too. I have no idea where they are, but they are certainly not in my house. I suspect I lent them to an ex-friend of mine...

Sorry to dredge an old thread back to the surface, but today I went shopping, and I went for my usual visit into a Game store, and there were three full shelves of Sims 2 games, and only one of Sims 3/Sims Medieval. My friend I was with is a Sims 3-er, so it was quite amusing (if I say so...) So anyway, I just wanted to share this, as it made me feel quite happy. I now have Bon Voyage, and the whole 'new Sims game' feeling.

It seems as though most Sims games are slowly draining from all the Washington stores as of late. I don't see many around anymore, especially at game stores.
