I know this forum is mainly Sims 2, but I saw these two new Sims 3 EPs and they actually look kind of good. First off, The Sims 3 Unleashed. (it was leaked) Secondly, The Sims 3 Generations. www.thesims3.com/game/ep4/videos

Hmmmm....well, ..all I gotta say is that the pets are way more attractive than the Sims - I'm sorry, TS3 Sims really give me the creeps.
It's why I'll never play TS3.

But thank you for showing us the promos - sure wish we could have some of that action in TS2....
Sim ON!

My friend quite likes The Sims 3, which is why I have most of the EPs and SPs out (I got a gift voucher once and there were no games out and it was about to expire so I got the three expansion packs and 1 stuff pack) so I let her play it on my other computer (her computer cant handle the game). She is ecstatic about the horses - she loves horses. I really like the idea of stray animals roaming around the free streets of Ts3. Like I said, I don't play it but that idea really appeals to me. Shayedk, I dislike the Sims too. Thats a main reason why I don't play - I need my Sims to look pretty. It's not a vain thing, I just, well, like them pretty.

I like them bringing back the original title though I'm like you guys, the sims are ugly and not very clear out of CAS. It's all well and good that the objects look so great that they could be real, but I'm following a sim, I'd like that to be the thing that has the most attention to detail. I'd probably be all over the game if the sim was up to spec... well, and if there weren't so many goals and such, I like a lot of the stuff, but at the same time in TS2 you were always making your own story, in TS3 I feel like I'm going through the motions of someone elses with the collecting things and what not :/

Too me, Sims 3 is great. Except for the following things: 1. They look semi-pretty in CAS mode, but when you put them in game .. BLEH! 2. You feel like your not making your own story.. your doing all their wishes, which gets really stupid and boring.. 3. How they didn't bother to make the animation for them to pull out of a driveway .. -_-" 4. How you can't actually see in the stores.. 5. Lots of recycled animations.. 6. The Sims look all cartoon-y and playdough-y, and not so pretty.. I MAY BE ADDING MORE ON !

The way I see it is that they took the creativity away from the player in TS3. Now it's like any other game quest out there that is nothing more than eye candy...and in the case of the the Sims themselves in TS3, that's some fugly candy that when I look at them, makes me wanna hurl.
TS2 is such a remarkable creative experience - I've been Simming with TS2 for years now and there are still things I haven't done in the game yet and there is always something new happening with my Sims that comes totally from them. Plus the creative options the game offers is so cool - like story telling and being such a huge part of the game itself and of course, being able to add so much of ourselves to the game - it really is like being part of our Sim's lives in an up close and personal way.
No way do I see TS3 even coming close to that.
Keep On Simmin!

Shayedk, I dislike the Sims too. Thats a main reason why I don't play - I need my Sims to look pretty. It's not a vain thing, I just, well, like them pretty. That's me too! I don't like the Sims in TS3 because, well I thought from the things I'd heard before it came out that it was practically going to be REAL LIFE because the graphics were UH-MAZE-ING, and really... I just think it looks too bright and the sims are too... *shudders* And I like my Sims to be nice looking... Still, I think it's kind of nice that they copied the TS1 title. Man, I used to love that game... *happy sigh* Is it just me, or are they spewing out these TS3 EPs a lot faster than they ever made TS2 titles? That's just the feeling I'm getting.

^^ me too, maybe that means they're trying to get through them quick enough to move onto TS4 (which I hope has more TS2-ish looking sims)as in my opinion TS3 is a bit of a flop. Or maybe the game can handle them and they're trying to make their money :/

So, is the new game like pets but for TS3? I was wondering if they would release something like that. I think it would make it a little better. I definitly like the horses, deer, and raccoons. Anyway, I have never even played TS3, but what everyone I meet is saying, it isn't worth the money.

Well, The Sims 3 is actually alright but it depends how you play the game. They took a different turn for The Sims 3 which is why a lot of people dislike it. The Sims 2 has a lot more freedom and The Sims 3 is more... gamer oriented, what with the goals and stuff.

I have to say, I love the song they used for the Unleashed trailer. Overall, though, the trailer for Unleashed looked significantly boring to me. I tried TS3 out for a few weeks and never liked it. Unless TS4 is somehow better, I am sticking with TS2 until I no longer have the time to play.

This is why I have a laptop with a lot of memory ^^ Lol seriously, I have sims 2, seasons, university, and nightlife on here. As well as sims 3, world adventures, and loft stuff. Finally pets! Ah I shall be happy, I like the creative in game of ts3, but I like the creativity out of game on ts2. Trust me editing ts3 pictures they look really clayish.. Yeah. Thats the one downside. But I'm quite happy with ts3. I've always found they like horrible in CAS but once in game HOT DARN! They look awesome. ^Notice how I say hot darn. Still not sure on PG-13 and I'd rather not get in trouble like I did on the original BBS lol.

Bahaha...I tend to disagree with everyone on this issue. I love the way the Sims 3 sims look. Their movement is so much more realistic. The gameplay is more solid than that of Sims 2 as well. Keeps my attention for longer. But as people have said, it's all down to personal taste. I still play Sims 2 - just depends what I get in the mood for. Anyone else giggly excited for horses being in Unleashed?

I'm very excited for it, surprisingly. Very occasionally, I play the Sims 3 but everything feels limited to me and it lacks the charm The Sims 2 has. (my opinion) I might get Unleashed, if I have some spare cash. I'm saving up for other things though (Ravenclaw uniform... perfume...)
