Sims troubles (man, I hate them -_-") Soo.. just a few days ago my Sims game was doing the exact same thing ; I would open it up, click play, and then it just would NOT open. Eventually it did, but that was hours later and I had popped in the Sims 3 disk by then, and so I just decided to uninstall my latest expansion pack .. So, after doing that and loading it up with all my downloads and such, it worked fine. I got to open it twice over the two days and it worked fine ; slow loading screens (but thats not new ) SO NOW, it's doing the same thing, and I don't want to have to uninstall my latest expansion pack and load everything up 3 times just to play for about an hour -_-" Do you think uninstalling all of my expansions and reinstalling them all will work? Full system restore (if I can find my disks..)? Or do you think it's just one of my recent files I downloaded? Thanks for any help .

Try moving your downloads folder to your desktop, and see if your game works then. If it does work, then yes, the crash was caused by something you downloaded.

Remember to make a back up of your neighbourhoods if you don't want to lose your sims!

Also, you should try defragmenting your computer, and/or cleaning the system up. You can find these options in the system tools folder. Sometimes the comp just gets slow and needs to be cleaned up. Also, you could try to cut out some downloads? Sometimes having too many can slow your system.

I'm sorry but I'm confused here. If it's for Sims 2 you're having this probably, try deleting the cache files in the THE SIMS 2 folder, under MY DOCUMENTS - EA GAMES - THE SIMS 2. All the files inside there that are .cache can be deleted and will be restored next time you play. They often get corrupted so deleting them means you'll get a fresh one. I have to do this everytime I play Sims otherwise it wont' load.

Yea.. my game still doesn't work. After I uninstalled ALL of my games and reinstalled ALL of my games.. It opened twice and that was the end of it.. It works fine with my Downloads the first two times, but then it just refuses to open.. So I decided to try it without the Apartment Life expansion. Uninstalled it, tryed to open it with FreeTime.. no go Also, you could try to cut out some downloads? Sometimes having too many can slow your system. Cut my DOWNLOADS!? Nooooooooooooooooooooo! I do have quite a bit.. so I'll just have to try that if the thing below doesn't work.. All the files inside there that are .cache can be deleted and will be restored next time you play. They often get corrupted so deleting them means you'll get a fresh one. I have to do this everytime I play Sims otherwise it wont' load. Thanks for the tip . I'll try that when I get homes :3.

Sometimes when my game won't load for me I have to run my antivirus. Then once that is done it loads right up for me and I have tons of cc in my game.
