argh that thing has near casued me to kill my computer!!!! i got given a discount code for EA store, and, since i had all my sp's and ep's i figured i'd go ahead and get something else sim related. so off i went, did the purchase, and went to open my EADM to download the purchase... and then the problems started.....
it went unresponsive, so i closed it down, i uninstalled after several "unresponsive episodes" and reinstalled. then it started crashing my computer if i attempted to open it, i couldnt close it, turn computer off or anything.
i got refund from EA after some diplomatic talking and basically telling the rep exactly what i thought of the company he worked for (in as nice a language as i could put it without being too rude)
sooo... to the question..... has anyone else ever had this problem? if so how did you fix it???

I hate EADM with a passion.
Not had this particular problem before, but EADM loads up everytime I turn on my laptop - and I have no idea how to stop it from doing so. It sometimes takes 10 minutes for my laptop to even load from the start up menu because the stupid thing is looking for updates.
Hate it, I do.

I dislike the EADM too. It's always looking for updates. >_< I don't purchase stuff from the EA Sims store though. I have... other methods to get that stuff. -insert evil smile-

I dislike it, but then again I like having some games as digital downloads because the discs were getting scratched from being used consistently until the next EP, and poor free-time was doomed from the outset.
I only downloaded EADM yesterday when I realised Sims EP's and SP's were half price on the store (only the website store, if you go through EADM they're still retail price or something) - so I FINALLY have AL - and so far it's been alright to use, I don't know why I don't like it, I just don't. But then when I think about the old downloads manager I think the new version is a vast improvement. The old one, I could have easily killed, or maimed.
