So it is my understanding that on the Webs site you only get 20 free pages. Does anyone know if that is true or not? If so then I need to find another place to put up my stories (basically for my legacy) cause we all know that it will take more than 20 pages to make up 26 generations (Alphatabacy) unless I make them way long chapters which I really don't want to do.
So I have heard about LJ, wordpress and blogs but I really know nothing about them at all. I don't really want to write another chapter for my legacy just to have to post it in another location. I've also heard about slideshare, which I know nothing about either. Can anyone help me out? Thanks ;D

I like weebly. It's ad-free, as simple as Webs and I *think* you can have unlimited pages. I use it all the time. Example 1Example 2

Yeah. I haven't heard good things about Webs, such as the ads can sometimes give your computer viruses.
I've never used Weebly, but I've followed some stories there, and I would definitely go with dragonaair's recomendation.
Otherwise, I use LJ.

I use webs . I actually like it a lot. I like how you can code it yourself and have members and stuff. If you use the normal mode, but then upload new pages, you don't get any ads . For example, this is a page on a webs website, but it doesn't have ads. Also, if you use my referral code (or any referral code), it says you get double storage space for free. I'm not sure if that means more pages, or just more space. But I think you should use Webs . I can help you with coding if you want .

I do already have webs and I do like it. I don't remember how to do any html coding anymore. I used to back like 6 years ago, but haven't done anything with it since so I have forgotten. I do like Webs myself, but its the page limit I'm worried about. I'm not only going to be putting up my legacy (with pics) but another non sims story I have been working on. So that takes even more pages. If you want to take a look at it and make suggestions that would be great BB. Flowerpin I love your site and visit it often and weebly does look simple enough. Thanks everyone! members.webs.com/MembersB/EditPage/index.jsp?pageID=209657022

I have a webs, an LJ and a Wordpress Webs, I don't think there is a page limit, but there is a bandwidth limit of 100mb. So, pictures, posts, word count, songs, videos and members who post any of that, will quickly use up the space. I had a webs and still do, it is easy to use and it showed me I had support. But the ads have been known to hold viruses, and it was more a beginning step, and in hindsight a mistake for me. I can't tell you much about LJ, other than that I registered and pretty much abandoned it. But some people do successfully post stories there, and I don't think you're really that limited. EXAMPLE (not mine)I adore Wordpress. It has as many pages as you'd like, a 3gig limit, a tonne of themes to chose from, widgets to add, and does look much more professional in my opinion than webs, for story layouts and blogging etc. I can't go on enough about Wordpress, I'm still blown away with it. EXAMPLE (not mine)Most people use LJ or Wordpress, but TiffToff has a site here for her stories, so there are endless possibilites, I suggest exploring options

Toniad, the link you posted doesn't work . It just leads us to our own websites. Try opening up your website and then copying the url . Yeah, I upload all of my pictures on my photobucket account to save space.

Thanks for the link ! So I use html pages (the ones with no ads that I was talking about earlier) so I just do <img src="image url here"></img>. When you mouse over your pictures on Photobucket, it gives you the image url. Wordpress and Weebly both seem like pretty good options too .
