Hi all! I'm about to pull my hair out! I've spent the last 3+ weeks building a community lot in my Pleasantview hood (it's a "school"). I wanted to play test it and can't get the thing to load. I first tried to get the Newson family to go there but my game crashed. Thought it was possibly because I tried to send one of the kids with her (school age not toddler) during school hours. Reloaded game, tried again after school hours-game crash #2. So I thought, maybe this family's glitched so they have been sent to Simmy heaven and I made a testing family in CAS. My game crashed for the 3rd freakin' time! The lot IS large (the biggest one) and it loaded just fine when I was building it. I don't have any mods/hacks and the only cc I have is from MaxoidMonkey and I've had it forever. The computer I'm playing on has great specs for the game-DH specifically got it so we could play games on it. I don't even have any cc on this lot. Anyone able to help me trouble shoot? I'll provide any additional info you need. BTW my specs are: Windows XP Pro Home/Dell Processor Intel(R) Pentium (R) D CPU 3.00 GHz (2 CPUs) RAM 3070 MB Video card Radeon X600 256 MB I have all EPs and SPs installed. I'm also fully patched.

Hmm, that is odd. I don't know much about specs but you can try doing this: My Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 and delete the .cache files. It's perfectly safe and they regenerate whenever you play the game. They can often become corrupt which can make unpredictable things occur in game. I hope that helps.

I tried that and it didn't work. I might try to delete some of the items from the lot: I read some last night on an old thread on MTS about this and the person who was having a similar problem deleted some things so I will have to try that and see what happens.
