I think I'm going to have to buy a replacement TS2 M&G disc. My oldest dd has been playing and she hasn't been to careful getting the disc out. DH doesn't watch her apparently when she is getting the disc out if I'm not in the room but I digress. I'm not buying the combination packs due to the glitches. I've found one on eBay that's reasonable but it's from the UK. So my stupid question is this: there isn't any difference in the US and UK version is there? I plan on keeping my games installed as is and when I can't run the game with my current M&G disc anymore, use the new one. This will work right?

The region may be different for the CD, and that may cause some problems with your cd drive since they usually only run same-region discs, but other than that it's probably okay.

There are no stupid questions; only stupid answers. If it's used, you run the risk of the code being used too often, or not even being sold with the game, and, of course, as together said, the region issue is there. I don't know if region issues run to all disks, or merely those for DVD players; it's definitely a good idea to look into that part.

I'm a little confused about the region issue. I'm not tech savvy at all so the deal about the region issue may have to be explained to me like you would a 7 yr old. Does that mean the coding would be slightly different in that a disc from the UK wouldn't play on my computer? Or would it have to do more with playing the UK disc with my installed game if I had to resort to a new disc? If, and when, my current disc becomes unplayable and I have the new M&G (UK) disc and it loads, etc. would I be better off uninstalling my previous M&G (making a back-up of my game prior) and reinstalling the new M&G? BTW, the new game I'm looking at is brand new, sealed in package. It is labeled PC/DVD. Another piece of info is that I've looked through all of my games because I did remember having to purchase a SP or EP from the UK previously (FFS) because I couldn't find one on Amazon, etc for a reasonable price. It loaded fine, no problems...however I didn't load the game from the FFS disc as I was reinstalling all of my games after a massive corruption.

It should work perfectly fine with your other EPs and SPs; I had all Australian games and my Pets was American.

The region thing is just something they do to try and stop people outisde of a country buying things from there. For instances, if a DVD is $15 is the US, and £15 in the UK, it is cheaper to buy the US version. America is Region 1 UK/Europe is Region 2 And the list continues. The regions only really cause a problem when buying DVD's for DVD players, as DVD players are also set to play DVD's from one region. However, computers are multi-region and will play any DVD from anywhere in the world, so I wouldn't worry about that, it should all be fine

Thanks all for the help! ;D I ordered it so I'd have the backup in case it's needed. I sent a message to the seller before coming back here and reading the further responses and s/he assured me that I wouldn't have a problem. Thank you all again!
